Privacy policy

If you fill in the contact form, I receive your name, your email address, and whatever you choose to put in the company, phone and message fields. The form asks you to agree before it sends, and it will not send without that.

Your message is also read by an AI, which writes a two-sentence summary and a rough note about whether the project is a fit, so that it arrives already understood. That is stated on the form itself, before you type.

That information is used to answer you and to discuss a possible project. It is not sold, rented, or shared with anyone for advertising.

It is stored in a database I control, and in the email inbox the message is sent to. You can ask me to delete it at any time by writing to support@askroby.io, and I will.

The site keeps a simple count of pages opened, which language was read, whether the projects section was reached, and whether the contact form was opened. It also records the website that linked you here, if there was one.

These counts contain no name, no email address and no advertising identifier. Two random markers keep the arithmetic honest: one lives in the browser tab and disappears when you close it, so a person reading four pages counts as one visit rather than four; the other, kept only if you agreed to analytics, tells a returning visitor from a new one.

This first-party counting runs whether or not you agree to analytics, because it cannot identify anybody — which is also why it, not Google Analytics, is the number treated as the true total here.

Four cookies exist here, and only two of them are ever set for an ordinary visitor.

Language: set only when you click the language flags, so the site opens in the language you chose. It holds the two letters "en" or "es" and nothing else.

Consent: set when you answer the question about measurement, so you are not asked again. It records that answer and nothing about you.

Google Analytics: set only if you answered yes. It is what shows which pages were read and where visitors arrived from. Answer no and it is never loaded — the scripts are not downloaded at all, rather than downloaded and switched off.

Admin session: set only for José, when he signs in to the private area. It is not set for visitors.

You can change your answer at any time by clearing this site's cookies in your browser, which makes the question appear again.

The site is hosted by Vercel. Form submissions and counts are stored with Supabase. Emails are sent through Resend. When an AI summary of a message is generated, the message text is sent to a language model provider for that purpose only.

These providers process the information to deliver those services, and for nothing else.

Contact messages are kept while there is a reason to keep them — an active conversation, a project, or a record of work done. Anonymous counts are kept as aggregate history.

If you want your message deleted, write to support@askroby.io and it will be removed.
